Miss Tina asks Rodney to fix the computer’s bugs, but Gears has a different solution—until they hear the story of Nehemiah and learn the importance of working together!

Lesson 1

Working Together

Quantum Labs has a big problem with bugs. No, not the type you call an exterminator to remedy. These pests are computer software bugs called Bug-O-Mytes and they are causing the lab’s computers to be, well… buggy! Gears is offended that instead of asking him, Miss Tina asked Rodney from the IT department to get rid of the bugs. Gears says he has a hardware solution, while Rodney says he has a software fix. Miss Tina saves the day with a Bible story about Nehemiah and how the Israelites worked together to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls. In this lesson, children learn the importance of working together to accomplish more than they could alone. Because after all—two people are better off than one!

The Case of the Stolen Thunder

This lesson reinforces to the story about Nehemiah and working together with others to complete a large task. Children will learn the importance of working together with others to succeed.

Lesson 3

Rocket Rigs

Nehemiah was filled with God’s wisdom and strength to unite the people of Israel to work together for a common goal. The people worked tirelessly even as they were mocked and threatened. Because they worked together, the Jerusalem wall was rebuilt in only 52 days! Children will learn the importance of working together with others to do God’s will and accomplish great things that may be impossible to do alone.

Lesson 4

Gizmo goes and goes

Nehemiah wept over the condition of the Jerusalem walls. He boldly returned to Jerusalem and assembled the Jewish people who lived in exile. Working together and empowered by God’s strength, the walls were rebuilt in only 52 days.

In this lesson, Miss Tina is first impressed and then concerned with Gizmo’s charity work. Is it too much for one person, or rather, bot? Children learn the importance of working together to serve others, so no one is overwhelmed.

Lesson 5

A Gears (And Rig) Film

The story features Gears and Rig who are making a video together. All is going well until Gears chooses to focus on something that leads to a disagreement and hurt feelings with Rig. Children will learn the importance of staying focused to avoid distractions while working together.
