Michael

CORE PASSAGE: Revelation 12:7-8
Michael is known as the archangel, or chief of the angels. His name means “who is like God.” He is the commander-in-chief of God’s army of angels who fights against the devil (or Satan the chief of the fallen angels) (Revelation 12:7-12) and who protects Israel. Michael’s name is mentioned in two other places in the Bible: Daniel also mentions Michael in his one vision (Daniel 10:13-21), and we read about Michael in Jude 1:9.
